What changes, and when

Most coverage of a new rule is written the day it is announced, then left alone. What a reader actually needs is the other half: the date it starts, and whether anything has moved.

This is a dated list of the changes reported across the six sites, in one order, with the past kept in place rather than deleted. Every row links to the article it came from, and that article carries the primary source — the Federal Register page, the statute, the agency guidance. Nothing here is a claim that is not made, and sourced, somewhere else on the network.

Windows — open enrollment, comment periods — are listed by the day they open and the day they close, because arriving on the wrong side of one is the expensive mistake.

Entries checked against the published articles on 2026-10-27. Windows show both ends; past entries stay on the list.

How this list is built

Each row comes from an article on this network, and that article cites the primary source — the Federal Register page, the statute, the agency guidance. Rows are added only when the date is stated there, which is why the list is short and why some entries carry a caveat: an interim final rule whose comment period is still open can still change.

It is a reading aid, not advice. A date on this page is not a substitute for checking the source, and rules do get stayed, vacated or amended — the FTC cancellation-fee row is on the list precisely because its rule was vacated on procedural grounds and then removed from the CFR, which is a change readers had already been told about the other way round.
